Background of Performers
Didel Bish has played the piano since she was 6 years old. Her early training came under the tutelage of Klara Würtz, Tamara Poddubnaya and Nata Tsvereli at the preparatory division of the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen. She is currently a student of David Kuyken at the Amsterdam Conservatory. She has attended the master classes of Jan Wijn, Rian de Waal, Victor Chouchkov, Igor Roma,Vladimir Tropp and Paul Badura-Skoda. Didel won first prizes at competitions such as Haydn Music Festival, Prinses Christina Concours (2004 and 2008), the Steinway and Sons Competition (2002 and 2004). In Bulgaria, she took top honors at the International Youth Music Festival in Dobrich-Albena, and the Franz Schubert Piano competition in Russe. She has appeared as a soloist with the Netherlands Youth Orchestra, the North Netherlands Orchestra, and the Haydn Youth String Orchestra. As a recitalist, Didel has performed across the Netherlands, including the Concertgebouw, and appeared in Geneva, Zurich and Paris at the invitation of the Dutch embassies and the Prinses Christina Concours.
Soprano Nikki Treurniet is currently a student of Sasja Hunnego at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She began her studies there with Maria Acda-Maas, following master classes with English mezzo-soprano Carolyn Watkinson. Since 2007, Nikki has performed in numerous opera projects with Yo! Opera and Salone dell'Opera, among others. She also performed in many choir projects such as Mendelssohn's Elijah, Britten's A ceremony of Carrols and Schönberg's Gurrelieder. In 2010 she sang as a soloist in Bach's Weihnachts Oratorium. This summer, she will take part in Gluck’s Orpheo and Euridice at the Royal Palace in Soestdijk.

Amarins Wierdsma began playing the violin under the Suzuki method at just 2 and a half years old. Between 1996 and 2009, Amarins studied with Coosje Wijzenbeek, and during this time she played with the Fancy Fiddlers and participated in prestigious Great Festivals like the Peter de Grote festival, where in 2009 she was awarded the Labberte-Hoedemaker prize. In addition, she has won the Davina van Wely and Iorden Violin Competitions. In 2009 she won third prize at the Prinses Christina Concoours finals.
Amarins is currently a student of Vera Beths at the conservatory in Amsterdam. She is principal violin of the Engadin Quartet, with which she has performed at the International Chamber Music Festival in Utrecht. There she appeared with Eva van Haaften, Rosanne Philippens and Janine Jansen in a performance of Vivaldi’s Concerto for Four Violins. Amarins performs on an instrument on loan from the Dutch National Music Fund.
