The NAF-BIZ is proudly looking back at a successful event with the Dutch Ambassador Mrs. Rene Jones-Bos.
The ambassador reflected on her past, the landing of the Dutch at what was New Netherlands and New Amsterdam and became New York, and linked that to this year’s celebration of the 400th anniversary of the first Dutch settlers at Manhattan. When later the first colonies proclaimed themselves the United States, the Netherlands was the first to salute the flag of the United States in recognition of the new country. Furthermore ambassador presented an overview of all aspects the Dutch government and embassy are involved in, and how she sees it her task to portray the Dutch people, in the Netherlands as well as abroad, as smart business partners with great entrepreneurial skills. For American companies she emphasized that the high level of Dutch education combined with a tax climate and ideal logistical networks make the Netherlands the ideal choice of settlement in Europe.
We kindly thank the Dutch ambassador for her presence and interesting presentation.
The NAF-BIZ is highly appreciative of its sponsors providing us with the means to produce these events to our members:
